About Caroline Meehan Designs

A childhood love of old homes morphed into a grown-up, full-blown passion for design. While working full-time in other jobs, I found myself doling out design advice to friends and family and loving it so much more than the work I was being paid to do. Caroline Meehan Designs is truly a lifelong dream realized. I started the business as a way of combining my two greatest loves: working with people and interior design. After having a family, I noticed a gap in the marketplace for affordable, beautiful and practical interior design. Many spaces were either incredibly beautiful and impractical for family life or hyper-functional and uninviting. I couldn’t find a happy medium.

As luck would have it, my unconventional background has proven fitting for a career in design. I can partner with vendors and trades to see projects through, I can carefully manage budgets, I can have tough conversations when issues arise and I can thoughtfully prioritize your wants and needs.

By getting to know my clients, the spaces we create together reflect both their personalities and their lifestyles. As a designer, I create cheerful spaces for the way you live. I especially love working with clients in transition- couples combining their lives into a home together, families creating forever homes and empty nesters discovering new ways to experience home.

I feel truly honored when clients invite me into their lives and their homes and so grateful to add beauty to their everyday. -xoxo-

About Caroline Meehan

Hi, I’m Caroline. I’m a southern transplant living on Boston’s South Shore. I’m easygoing yet incredibly determined - both very useful qualities for an interior designer. I spend much of my (hypothetical) free time with my husband of eleven years and our four children. If I’m doing the planning, you’ll find us on impromptu adventures, exploring art museums, hiking local trails, playing any and all sports and relaxing on the beach.

In my corporate career, I dabbled in PR but mostly worked in education: as a textbook editor, as a high school English teacher (verrry briefly!) and as a textbook product marketer, my last role before leaving to focus on design. In product marketing, I worked on branding new programs, creating resources for teachers and training sales reps on products.
